5.3.0 - Keepit Release Notes

We are happy to announce the release of Keepit 5.3.0. This release includes support for multi-factor authentication, the introduction of our new Partner Management Console, and several improvements, in particular, to the creation of public links for sharing data.

Secure user sign-ins with native multi-factor authentication

To add another layer of protection to the sign-in process, you can now enable multi-factor authentication (MFA). Enabling MFA will require users to provide two or more verification factors to sign into the Keepit platform.

Keepit supports trusted IPs and the time-based one-time password (TOTP) authentication methods:

  • Trusted IPs protect against unauthorized sign-ins by restricting access to a defined set of IP addresses.
  • TOTP requires users to enter a code generated by an authenticator app to sign in.

Introducing the Partner Management Console (PMC)

We now have a new user interface available for our partners. On top of the existing functionalities you love, you will be able to:

  • See all your customers in a single pane of glass
  • Instantly identify needed troubleshooting
  • Quickly understand your customers’ backup status

At the same time we have also added multi-factor authentication support to the PMC. MFA can be enabled for the partner account and all its subusers - but not for partner or customer subaccounts.
