If you need to find some data for recovery or want to locate something you would like to share, you can use one of Keepit's many features to help you establish the location of this data.

Begin by selecting the Office 365 connector where the data you want is located.

Browse Folders

Select folders to browse through your data types, users, and objects.

You can also use the breadcrumbs to navigate the hierarchy.

Search Box

Use the search field to find specific files. You can enable and disable the subfolder search by selecting the subfolder icon in the right side of the field. The subfolder search allows you to search all levels below the folder you are viewing.

You can search by filename or metadata (email subject, sender email, date, data type, etc.).

Keepit identifies non-exact matches of search terms so relevant results will appear even if the terms are misspelled or incomplete. The results that most closely match you your entry will appear at the top of the list.

Note: If you have a very large tenant, this function might not be enabled.

Deleted Files View

Turn on the Deleted Files View to see all the data that ever existed on your tenant and that was backed up by our solution.

Simply select the trash can & eye icon and deleted users, files, folders, and objects will appear in the location you are viewing. They will be easily distinguished from files currently on the tenant as they will be faded and marked with a trash can icon.

Once you locate your lost items, you can directly share, download, or restore them.

History Snapshots

You can use History Snapshots if you want to step back in time.

Select the point in time from which you want to restore.

Then navigate to the file or folder you want to restore.

Sort Data

From an location, you can use the Sort by drop-down list to sort the files. This list will show which options are available and may vary depending on what data you are viewing.

Note: The date displayed for all emails in the Outlook Inbox folder is the date that the email was sent regardless of what sort option you select. This means that if you sort by Received date, the dates may not be displayed in chronological order even though the emails will be correctly listed according to date received.
