You can restore a conditional access policy, compliance policy, or a configuration profile.
Restore a policy
1. In your connector, find the policy you want to restore.
2. Optional: If you want to restore an item from an earlier point in time, open the Snapshots Viewer. Then select the appropriate snapshot.
3. To the right of the item, click ••• > Restore.
4. Click Yes to restore the item.
Note: To restore multiple items at a time, select the items. In the toolbar, click Restore.
What happens when I restore a policy
All data is restored in place.
Conditional access policy
Restoring a conditional access policy will update the following settings:
- Assignments (to users, cloud apps or actions, conditions)
- Grant and session access controls
- Enable status
Device compliance policy
Restoring a device compliance policy will update its settings (policy properties) and assignments.
Restore limitation:
- Device and user status read-only statistics are not restored. However, Microsoft will evaluate them automatically.
Device configuration profile
Restoring a device configuration profile will update its settings (policy properties) and assignments.
