     Note: We do not back up posts created in Outlook Online or Desktop.

      • Team channel posts and replies (replies are not visible in the backup, but they are restored together with the post) 
      • Files (for public channels a link to the group's files and for private channels a folder with the channel's files)
      • Wiki pages (backed up but cannot be restored, recoverable only by copy-pasting data out or downloading raw files)
      • Channel tabs: Website, Planner, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PDF, Document Library, OneNote, SharePoint, Stream, Forms, Power BI, Flow, and Azure DevOps

Notes on Teams Chats:

  • Microsoft's API for retrieving chats returns all chats, including chats deleted by users. Therefore, your Keepit backup of private chats may contain data that the user deleted.
  • Currently, chats can only be previewed and downloaded. A future release will add support for restoring chats.
